Revise Now (revisenow.uk) helps you get worked solutions to school questions. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it, in plain English. Revise Now is currently operated by an individual in the United Kingdom; you can contact us any time at hello@revisenow.uk.

What we collect

When you upload a question we collect: the photo you upload, the question text (read automatically from the photo, and any corrections you type), and the subject and difficulty you choose. We do not ask for your name, and you do not need an account. Like almost every website, our hosting provider also records basic technical logs (such as your IP address) to keep the service running and secure.

What happens to your photo

Your photo is made smaller in your browser before it is sent to us, so we receive only what is needed to read the question. To solve your question, we send the photo and the question text to Anthropic, an artificial intelligence (AI) provider, whose Claude AI reads the question and writes the worked solution. Anthropic processes this in the United States under a data processing agreement and does not use it to train its AI. Your question and its solution are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase in Ireland, so your solution page keeps working.

Honesty about AI

Solutions on Revise Now are generated by AI and spot-checked by our team against official mark schemes. AI can make mistakes, so treat solutions as a learning aid, not a guarantee, and tell us at hello@revisenow.uk if you find an error.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not show adverts. We do not use your uploads for anything except providing and improving Revise Now. Bookmarks are saved only in your own browser, not on our servers.

If you are under 18

Revise Now is designed for secondary school students and we keep the data we collect to a minimum. Please do not include your name, your school name, or anything personal in the photos you upload - crop to just the question. If you are under 13, please use Revise Now with a parent or guardian.

How long we keep things

Uploaded questions and their solutions are kept so that solution links keep working and so we can improve the service. If you want something you uploaded to be deleted, email hello@revisenow.uk with the solution link and we will remove it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of data relating to you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@revisenow.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we have handled your data badly.

Changes

If Revise Now adds features that change how data is handled (for example, accounts, payments, or the option to share your solved question anonymously to help other students), we will update this page first and the date at the top will change.
